Florida Fun

The beginning of August we traveled to Florida for 10 days of fun. We flew into Fort Walton Beach where Ken had to attend a course on terrorism at the Air Force base there. While Ken went to class during the day Matthew and I relaxed and did a little sightseeing. We went to the Gulfarium where we saw sharks, alligators, sea lions, many fish and a dolphin show. Matthew loved seeing the animals. Most of our fun was had at night when Ken was off.
We spent some time at the beautiful white sand beaches, went on a dolphin watching sunset cruise, and tried lots of fun and different restaurants. At the end of the week when Ken's class was over we made the 6 hour drive to Orlando. We stayed on Disney World at the Shades of Green military resort. It was awesome and we would definitely recommend it to all our military friends.
Our first day there was spent at Epcot. We were amazed at each of the parks we went to that Matthew could pretty much do everything we wanted to do. We really enjoyed Epcot, especially touring through the different countries and we had some awesome food in Germany there. It reminded us of the many trips we'd taken there while in Europe.
Our second day was spent at Disney's Animal Kingdom and I'd have to say that was my favorite park.

Our last day there we spent at Disney's Hollywood Studios. We saw pretty much all that we wanted to and after 3 long days of touring we headed home.
Matthew did great on the trip and he's an awesome traveler. We're definitely excited for the day we can take him back again!
