Saturday we had a great day trip to the pumpkin patch in Lawrence, Kansas. Our dear friends Sarah and Maia Ness rode along and we had an awesome time. We took a hay ride out to the patch to pick our pumpkins right off the vine.

They had such a variety of colors, sizes and textures. We ended up finding a white and green one that we liked. Be on the lookout for a post of the finished carved pumpkins!

Matthew had missed his morning nap so he was a little on the cranky side but we still had a lot of fun showing him all the pumpkins.

To finish the afternoon off we sat down with a glass of apple cider slush (it was 80 degress outside, therefore cider SLUSH). Also, just for fun here's a picture of Ken and I at a pumpkin patch when we lived in Washington. We look so young!!
