Halloween

Matthew had a great first Halloween this year. He was our adorable little puppy and he started to laugh when I put it on him. I didn't think he'd like the hood part but he really seemed to love it. Ken and I wore our galabayas we'd gotten on our visit to Egypt in 2005. The night before Halloween we carved our pumpkin and let him play with the insides. Ken carved the 1st Infantry Division (Big Red One) patch in it. It's the patch he wears on his uniform. Fort Riley is home of the Big Red One. Matthew threw pumpkin insides all around our dining room and enjoyed his first sucker courtesy of Grandma Phillips. He was a big, sticky mess!!

Even though Matthew was too little to say trick-or-treat this year, we still joined some great friends and walked around our neighborhood. We didn't get him any candy though since Ken and I would have been the ones to eat it. Following trick-or-treating I co-hosted a Halloween bash with my great friend and neighbor Sarah (wicked witch). We had a great turn out, tons of good food and beautiful weather to make the evening a success.
