A Year Has Passed

Matthew celebrated his first birthday December 1st with some great friends here at Fort Riley. We're very lucky to have such great people in our lives and we thank everyone for helping him celebrate. Mommy made him a cow cake and we had two big pots of soup to warm our belly's. He really enjoyed opening presents and seemed excited by everything he got. It really is hard to believe he's one. He can stand up on his own but hasn't taken any steps yet. He LOVES music and loves to dance. He also really loves books. He's such a happy little guy and everywhere we go he puts a smile on peoples faces. He's really friendly and jabbers to anyone who will listen. We were in Wendy's last night and a guy asked him if Santa was coming and he said Ya. No still seems to be his favorite word though. He also really loves saying Hi Dada. He had his 12 month check-up last week everything looked good. He's kind of a scrawny boy weighing 18 pounds 10 ounces (5th% on the chart) and he's 30 inches tall (50% on the chart). We're so excited for the years to come. Toddler years here we come!
