
I think that I have the best kind of office there is. I don't have to sit at a desk and I don't have to leave my house. Before Matthew was born I did my personal training at the gym on Fort Riley. I've always wanted to be a stay-at-home mom but also didn't want to quit training. The perfect solution for me to have both was to have a home gym. Although it's not the most beautiful of spaces, Ken did an awesome job of turning our garage into a gym. We live in a historic house built in the 1920's and the garage used to be a horse stable (or so we've been told). By putting down flooring and getting our gym equipment set up it went from a storage space to a get fit haven. I decided that while Matthew is young that I'm just going to have 1 or 2 clients. I've been working with my client Wendy since September 2007. She comes 3 days a week from 11-12 while Matthew is taking his morning nap. It's been awesome! I still go to the gym to teach my Group Fitness class but think that I'll continue doing all my training from home. As Matthew gets older I'll take on more clients. For now I've got the perfect setup.
