I know that I have been neglecting my blog and my goal is to get back to one post a week again. Matthew and I are doing
good in Montana and I'm so glad I decided to come home. Time has flown so far (over a month already) and if it continues to do the same this year will be over in no time. Matthew's adjusted good and loves having the attention of many adults. My brother is also at home for the summer so there's never a shortage of people to entertain him. He is saying pretty much everything that you say to him and it's fun watching him mature. He's also become quite naughty to his mom when it's diaper changing time. Terrible Two's here we come.

I've been keeping busy with training for my first triathlon, training for my upcoming race in Deadwood, SD, and of course Matthew. My days fly by and then at night everyone is home and it's nice being surrounded by so much family. Matthew has met so many aunts, uncles and cousins I'm sure he's wondering why so many people have "aunt" or "uncle" in front of their name. Anyone who knows what a big family I have will understand this.
Ken's doing good and is finally settled in Baghdad. He enjoys what he does so far and is working long hours so his days are going fast. We're able to Skype with him on the computer every day so that helps a lot. It's so nice to be able to see each other instead of just talk on the phone. Matthew loves getting to see dada on the computer.

Last weekend I went to Bismarck, ND with my good friend Christina Shepherd. We've been friends since high school and she also lives in Baker so we've been having a lot of fun together. She has two girls (4 and 2) so it's been nice to get the kids together. She's also training for the triathlon so it's great having a workout partner at least a couple of days a week. Whenever we can both get people to watch the kids at the same time!
While in Bismarck we spent the day at the zoo and then spent the night. Danica (Chris's 2 yr old) got really sick so we had to skip out on our shopping and head home the next day. We were laughing at how different our road trip was this time compared to the ones we took 10 years ago.
