Together in Texas

The end of September we were reunited as a family after 5 months. It was short lived but such an awesome week. Ken went to Fort Hood, TX as an escort to some Iraqi Generals. Matthew and I flew down and spent the week with him. Matthew acted as if his daddy had never left so that was nice. Daddy had to do everything, he wouldn't even let me get him in and out of his car seat. He'd push me and say "No mamma, dadda." Even though Ken was there for work we still got to spend at least a couple hours every day together. It was also very interesting meeting the Generals who'd come for the training. They all loved Matthew and always wanted to get their pictures taken with our family. We had quite few meals out with them. None of them wanted to try any new food, they wanted chicken and rice. We didn't do anything exciting, just played at the park and relaxed. It was not easy saying goodbye again.
I'm just ready for this year to be over. We're halfway. Ken will be back the end of November for his R & R. It will be a great 15 days of relaxing as a family. We'll be in Baker for a couple of days then head to his parents in Libby for 2 days. Then it's 10 days in a vacation home in Bozeman, MT. The doggies will join us on the trip so our whole family will be together.

Side Note: One of the interpreters that was in Texas for the week was Octomom's dad. I recognized him right away as I'd seen his interview on Oprah. He said all his grandbabies are doing good. I got some picture of him so I'll post them soon. Interesting!
