Well, my roller blades will be retired for a little while anyways. I'm sure you can see why from these pictures. I was having a great time roller blading with my friend Christina today. I was pushing Matthew in the stroller and she was roller blading by me. Chris wanted to see what it was like pushing the stroller so she took Matthew. We came to a big dip in the road filled with water. I slowed down almost to a stop to go through it. I started to go through the water and my feet got stuck in something and my face hit the pavement. I could hear and feel the thud from my head hitting the road. The blood was gushing out of my mouth and face wounds. Chris was trying her best to stay calm but from the way she was acting I looked pretty bad. Luckily I had my phone in the stroller so she called my mom who rushed to where we were. Upon evaluation of me it seemed I hadn't broke anything and all my teeth were still intact. Since my head took the full brunt of the fall my mom insisted we head to the emergency room to get checked out. They x-rayed my face to make sure there were no fractures and luckily there wasn't. I was left with a very sore face and scraped up wrists. Poor Matthew had a hard time with everything. He was pretty worried and talked all day about mommy's owies. He'd get up close to me to see and have this horrible look on his face. He does not like my owies! I've roller bladed a ton of times and never once have I fell. I guess if I'm going to fall I'm going to fall good. I'm pretty sure I'll have a fairly decent headache for a couple of days.
